2007-08 SCAHA Game Fees
These rates are applicable for games scheduled for a maximum of three 15 minute periods (no ice cuts) for pee wee and above (12 minute periods with no ice cuts for mite and squirt). Games scheduled to last longer or with an ice cut will have to be negotiated on an individual basis. The method of payment for all games will be cash, check or voucher. Clubs should have a notice on how you are to be paid game fees. Some clubs might require a 1099 tax form. Method of payment for all games will be cash, check or voucher at the time of the game. Exemptions may be negotiated differently between an individual SCAHA whereby clubs will pay (mail checks) officials within 30 days of the game worked. Game fees unpaid within 45 days are considered in breach of this contract. Should a team and/or club fail to pay officials twice in a season within 45 days, that team may loose its exemption to pay by check/voucher (thus, the club will be required to pay by cash or check at the game). Should any club have checks returned for not sufficient funds more than twice in a season (excluding acts of God, etc.), the club could be required to pay cash at the game (after written notice is given to the club and SCAHA). Games with 2 officials will require each referee to receive the referee rate. SINGLE GAME FEE: For each game that is not “back to back” with another SCAHA game, each official working a single game will be paid an additional $5.00 on top of any of the pertinent fee(s). Single game fees will be predetermined and submitted to the Club by the SCAHA Scheduler. OFFICIATING SYSTEM: All games shall be covered with the “three official” system, in the event that a third official cannot be scheduled, or is not present at the beginning of the game, the “two official system” may be used. In the event that the “two official system” is used, both officials will serve as referees and be paid the referee’s fee. Every effort will be made to schedule three officials for each game. In the event of a no-show, please notify the SCAHA Referee Scheduler prior to taking the ice. |
